I believe that man has not yet completed its evolution as "intelligent animal".
The main developmental stages in my opinion are divided in this way.
The first step in the development of the animal brain was to interpret the objects in the physical world outside and associate them with pre-established forms and change their knowledge based on experience.
The second step was to learn not only passively from the outside world what 'but that was perceived to organize activities organized and complex suitable for a particular purpose: in this phase gradually emerged the need to connect the various components and cognitive function in an increasingly structured in order to draw other meta information to interpret the world according to cause and effect.
The third step was to become aware of their cognitive substrate in order to see the entire structure (or at least parts that are closely related) in order to find logical connections through abstraction of "forms" of base: the so-called reasoning.
The next step was the need to "navigate" in different ways between abstract concepts learned preaquisite coordinating all the features in order to draw more high-level information. As a final step of this stage there was the purchase of self-consciousness of itself 'and intuition (ability to see the navigation links between the new high-level meta-information).
Another stage was to evolve intelligence in order to maximize the work and the action of the group: that was then morals. While the steps listed above were focused to evolve the capabilities inherent to human beings, the 'last stage is focused on functionality coodinamento between humans.
Humans are essentially the last step of evolution from the beginning of human civilization. The various stages described in a sequential manner although they participated in the development part so likely competitor.
The last step of evolution begins with the need to organize a large number of human beings (people) in a hierarchical social structure regolametata laws. The development of the social structure should lead gradually to acquire all human beings the ability to hear criticism of the "concept of public good" as something closely tied to the good of the individual (as do some bees or ants) : only in this way can human civilization reach very high social structures organized.
How do you reach that stage is a mystery. Perhaps with future technologies?
