The project, in my case is strongly influenced by the limited space available, in fact I was able to allocate only the plastic wall of the bedroom, that does not prevent (thanks to the scale used) to make a drawing of track can provide many hours of solo play and also possibly with the aid of one or two other players.
In the sketch that follows shows the structure of the model: two shelves of 250x25 cm superimposed with one another, put into communication with one another through a system of drawers (right side) and linked to the "rest the world "through two mini removable staging yard (left side), all for a development of about 5 meters of track in just a few inches deep.
The model, set in the '70s, is a part of the Third District line located in Arizona (now Seligman Subdivision), managed by the company AT & SF (Atchinson, Topeka & Santa Fe Railway) .
Since this line, in many places, runs parallel to the famous Route 66, I decided to further characterize the plastic playing a hint of this road on both levels. The tracks will be
felssibili Micro Engineering code. 55, the Atlas switches # 5 and # 7, always in code. 55, Blue Point Controller Tornout as commands to switches, power in Dcc, probably through central Digitrax Euro Radio soon to be introduced on the market.
Special thanks to Denny, creator and provider of many of the layout and useful advice on U.S. railroads and real scale, Franco (Pik) Piccardo, for he too contributed to the project, the contribution of Alex Corsico that will give to exercising, my wife Roberta tolerate that because every weekend our family house is transformed into a laboratory modeling.
